Kathryn has been working as a volunteer at the Horizon MacMillan Cancer Care Centre in Brighton for several years. She has worked with many people who are living with different types of cancer and at all stages. She has received specific training in all aspects of oncology massage through MacMillan and accredited courses.

During the Coronavirus lockdown, while close contact services were not possible, Kathryn continued with MacMillan as a volunteer telephone buddy, providing support to people living with cancer during such a difficult time. This has developed her knowledge of oncology issues and resultant complexities, and accordingly informed her face-to-face contact work.

Massage is a proven positive addition to other treatments that someone with cancer may be receiving, whether in helping to alleviate associated aches and pains not directly caused by the cancer, or in providing much needed nurturing touch and support for emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Each treatment Kathryn gives is bespoke and considers the particular needs of the client on the day. It is always designed for maximum comfort, both physically and emotionally. It may involve the adjustment of positions or areas of the body to be massaged, and also the techniques employed. The client is always central to these decisions.

Kathryn can travel to your home when illness prevents you attending her clinic room. Please bear in mind that this will entail a surcharge to cover the extra time and expenses involved.
